Cassper Nyovest Encourages Other Artists to Ditch Twitter
Cassper Nyovest is sharing words of enlightenment on Twitter and encouraging his fellow artists to leave the social media platform for the real world.
“Dear artist, listen to me. I kid you not, Twitter is not a real place,” the 32-year-old rapper tweeted on Tuesday, 10 October. “It’s a bubble. Get out there and live your life. Build a real life for yourself that you don’t have to escape to feel any kind of euphoria,” he added.
The tweet was met with a mixture of praise and criticism, as some tweeps felt the singer was sharing wise words, while others suggested that he was simply feeding the frenzy of social media.
Either way, Nyovest appears to be gearing himself up for a major change, as he took to Instagram on the same day to share pictures of himself, his manager Tlee and music executive Sipho Dlamini on a yacht in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
“Most of my career/life was fuelled by me competing or wanting to be better than my haters/enemies.” the Mzansi icon said. “The next chapter in my life is motivated by my yearning to be better than my past. Whoever I was yesterday, I’m kicking his ass today! God engineering!”
